I’m Max Green, I work freelance, creating; Design, illustration, cardboard engineering & product development, taking projects from concept to artwork.
Experience: The variety of projects and clients I have been involved with has given me a lot of hands on experience & knowledge; originating ideas, designing, illustrating, art directing, cardboard engineering, photographing, sourcing & creative consulting. I have worked in a variety of leading studios in Brighton, London, Wiltshire, Cheltenham (& London again), including my previous 2 positions of over 7 years as Product Development Director at partyware & homeware company; Meri Meri, Inc. and 2.5 years as Senior Innovation Product Developer at Talking Tables Ltd. (Games & Gifts, Party Accs, Decorations).
My portfolio: includes a broad range of work from; illustrated party ranges to animated centrepieces, from games to gifts, greeting cards to catalogues, cardboard toys to wood display props, packaging to pop-ups, stationery to seasonal decorations, embroidery to brand identities and trend research to one-of-a-kind handmade curiosities & objet.
Making things fun: I create ideas, design, illustrate & develop original, elegant or playful creative work with lasting value for a variety of clients. A mix of inventive thinking, a point of difference or a playful twist, trend awareness, creativity and ingenuity all combine in a versatile, hands on approach, to create the premiumisation of engaging and successful products. The technical know-how gained from years of experience with a variety of artwork and production processes to bring these ideas to life, combined with knowledge gained from sourcing trips, factory visits and exhibitions, travelling to locations including; New York, Atlanta, Chicago, Hong Kong and China. I have designed a lot of successful products that have sold in stores all over the world.
Recent Projects: Freelance work for ‘Party Pieces’ included branding and packaging development across ranges & originating concept ideas, illustrations, product development, packaging solutions, cardboard engineering and factory ready artwork for several children's party ranges to which I brought a fresh perspective including the dinosaur range of 13 original and inventive products and shark and mermaid themed eco-friendly ranges.
Location: I live in South West England in the historic market town of Chippenham, not far from Bath, where I have a small studio.
